FAQs:

1. Who can get married here?

Answer: If one of the happy couple lives within the church parish, you can get married at Holy Innocents. Not sure where your parish is? Check out www.achurchnearyou.com to find out!

2. If neither of us live in the parish, do we still have a chance?

Answer: Yes! The Church of England sets out the Qualifying Criteria to be able to get married in any given church. Please follow this link for the specifics: www.churchofengland.org/life-events/your-church-wedding/just-engaged/finding-church-your-wedding

3. What if one of us has been married before or doesn't come from the United Kingdom?

Answer: There are lots of legalities surrounding weddings in the UK, and we will check with you that all the required paperwork is in place.

4. Do we have to be baptised to get married in Church?

Answer: No! We'll gladly marry you regardless of your history with the church. If neither of you live in our parish, you will need to attend church once per month for 6 months preceding the wedding.

4. How much does it cost?

Answer: From £620, you can have your wedding at the Church of the Holy Innocents. We have lots of extras available, such as a choir, an organist and bell ringing, all optional and available to be discussed when you come to see us!

5. What about vow renewals and blessings?

Answer: Whether you are already married and would like a vow renewal or blessing, or whether, for whatever reason, you cannot get married, we would be delighted to bless your union. Please get in touch and we'd be happy to discuss your wishes.
